Arts & Culture
The south west of England has been an inspiration for artists for centuries. Take for example Barbara Hepworth, who moved to Cornwall in 1939, and who is a classic example of a well-known artist working in the area for most of her career. Much of her work can now be explored in the Tate St Ives (section 8 of South West 660).
The cities of Exeter, Plymouth and Truro offer a vast array of world class museums and galleries, yet some of the most interesting arts and crafts can be found in some of the smaller galleries and artist workshops and studios in the many towns and villages all along the route.
Let the south west inspire you!
