Feel the buzz!
Anyone who enjoys the refreshing plunge of open water swimming will know what I am talking about when I say it takes your worries away for those minutes that you are gliding through the water. While in the sea the world dissolves and it is just you, swimming free and embracing the feeling that every sense is heightened making you feel alive. For me the best place to embrace this feeling is around the South West coastline.
Inspiration
From the wide open sandy beaches of the Jurassic coast and along the south Devon riviera, to the cosy coves and estuaries of the south Cornish coastline and the surfing paradise of the north coast, there truly is something for everyone.
You can do handstands in Weymouth, swim between the rock groynes of Sidmouth, and around the rock stacks at Ladram Bay. Take an alternative view of Burgh Island as you swim around and behind it! Or explore the creeks at the Helford river, climbing out like an invertebrate to lie on the granite rocks that surround the secluded beaches soaking up the warm sunshine. Bask in the crystal clear waters of hidden coves around The Lizard peninsula. Dive through the rolling waves that an almost constant presence along any beach along the northern side, playing and frolicking with abandon.
